Christmas Wine Stains and How to Get Rid of Them

We all know that Christmas is a time when a lot of wine is being consumed and that’s not a bad thing, because wine is the drink of the Gods and there isn’t a more sacred time of the year than Christmas. It is great for your health when consumed in a certain amount, but it is definitely not good for your carpets if you spill it on them.

Wine is probably one of the hardest things to get out of your carpets. Once you spill the drink of the gods on your carpet it gets in there for good if you don’t know how to take care of it. The universal laws of stain removing apply here too. The sooner you start treating the stained area the better. And here are some useful wine stain treatment methods you can try.

The easy wine removing method

Take a piece of dry cloth and try to blot away as much of the wine as possible. Remember not to rub the stain, because this will make things worse and you can get the stain in there for good. Once you have most of it dried up you’ll have to try a couple of procedures to get the whole thing out of your carpet. If you have any carpet shampoo lying around in your house takes it and if you don’t you can use a clothing stain remover.

Use the solution you have at home as you would with any other kind of stain from dirt or anything else. Of course, there are other methods that you can try and I’ll explain them below.
